Continuous Education is necessary for IT Management.  Keeping yourself up to date on technology trends and news can be a tough assignment.  There is so much information out there that the data noise can be distracting.  What do you read and listen to that is relevant?  Below is a list of podcasts, websites and books that I have found useful in forming my knowledge base.
Podcast listening is a daily habit that is critical for my sense of being current and informed. There is so much time wasted in transit or just waiting around that I put to the use of keeping me informed.

PODCASTS

Risky Business - Patrick Gray
SecurityNOW - Steve Gibson
This Week in Enterprise Tech - Father Robert Ballecer
Manager Tools Podcast
New York Times Tech Talk

I check out these Websites daily as part of my early morning and afternoon routines. I also use Feedly to access RSS feeds for these sites.  That way I can read all these news streams in one place. I purposely am including newspapers, journals & magazines in the website section. The recent addition of pay walls to newspaper sites has limited my usage of their websites and apps in my daily review routine. You can get around these obstacles by using alternative browsers, but it can be a hassle.
